It is often said that strange circumstances throw those together whose paths otherwise would never have crossed.

Honou is an orphan, a blind woman that was taken in by a small organization of holy women. She is stunningly beautiful, even when covered in filth, and loved by all for her unusually calm, level-headed, nature.
Sofu is a brash young warrior, anxious to prove his worth and sent on a mission to find a swordsman of legendary skill. A swordsman said to see his opponents with a mysterious second eye.
He has been sent to find this man as a quest that his elders hope will not bring him back home.

When Sofu stumbles across the beautiful Honou on the remains of a battlefield, a three-year-old child strapped to her back, he does not believe he will ever find the man rumoured to live in the nearby forest. However, it was not a man that he was meant to find.
As battle breaks out in the very heart of her own monastery, Sofu will discover that what lies hidden is Honou’s power with the sword and the path to redemption that he has been seeking.

I took about a month on this, but worked steadily through the whole thing over the last three days or so and finally got it finished.

Aside from the size of his hand I'm quite pleased with the outcome.
